Why is adherence a risk factor?

Adherence concerns the issues of obtaining and taking asthma medications. It is difficult to remember all the details of taking the right medicine at the right time, in the right amount, and in the right way. Poor adherence to medications may result in worse asthma outcomes for your child. Therefore, it is extremely important to address any adherence problems you and your child have when trying to keep up with his/her medication schedule.
